| Summary, etc. | Noch vor wenigen Jahrzehnten galt die Suspension der Anfangsfrage, der "Abschied vom Prinzipiellen", als eine zentrale Errungenschaft der Moderne. Heute dagegen muß man zur Kenntnis nehmen, daß Anfangsmythen territoriale Ansprüche und ethnische Exklusionen legitimieren, daß die Unantastbarkeit von Gründungstexten und Gründerfiguren gewaltsam durchgesetzt wird und daß Fundamentalisten mit Lehren von göttlicher Schöpfung und intelligent design in dem selben Moment schulische Lehrpläne erobern, in dem Gentechniker an der Produktion von Leben basteln.Vor diesem Hintergrund unternimmt es der Band, Prozesse der Modernisierung über die Denkfigur des Anfangs neu in den Blick zu nehmen. |
