| Summary, etc. | Jeder hat schon mal eine Stereoskopie oder eine Holographie gesehen – und sich über den seltsamen räumlichen Eindruck dieser Bilder gewundert. Doch was ist die Geschichte der ›dreidimensionalen Bilder‹? Wo kommen sie her, welche Funktionen hatten sie und warum sind sie kaum Gegenstand der kunst- wie medienwissenschaftlichen Forschung? Die transplanen Bilder werden im 20. Jahrhundert für diverse Praktiken – die militärische Luftaufklärung, die Arbeitswissenschaft, die Naturwissenschaften, die Medizin etc. – immer wichtiger, eben weil sie mehr Rauminformation liefern können. Überdies hinterlassen sie auch im weitläufigen Gelände der Kunst ihre Spuren. Die bislang kaum in den Blick genommene Geschichte der transplanen Bildformen, ihrer Genese, Implikationen, Funktionen und Ästhetiken wird hiermit vorgelegt. |
