| Summary, etc. | Angesichts der kulturellen und ökonomischen Umbrüche innerhalb unserer Gesellschaft stellt sich die Frage, ob nicht das Geld tatsächlich Gott als wichtigstes Leitmedium abgelöst hat. Ist das Geld der neue Gott unserer Zeit? Oder wird das Geld lediglich mit Gott verwechselt? In welchem Verhältnis stehen diese beiden gesellschaftlicher Leitgrößen zueinander? Ist es ein Verhältnis der Konkurrenz, der Ausschließung oder der Identität? Welche Konsequenzen ergeben sich jeweils daraus für die christliche Rede von Gott? Die Arbeit weist nach, dass der religiöse und der ökonomische Diskurs nicht unverknüpft oder getrennt nebeneinander bestehen, sondern sich stets aufeinander beziehen und auf vielfältige Weise ineinander greifen. Ausgehend vom Wechselwirkungskonzept Georg Simmels wird gezeigt, wie die christliche Gottesrede in der Auseinandersetzung mit der Macht des Geldes ihr Potential überzeugend zur Sprache bringen kann. Jenseits von fundamentaler Ablehnung und vordergründiger Apologetik ermöglicht das Konzept einer kritischen Relativität die vielschichtigen Verflochtenheiten aufzuhellen und das christliche Profil gegenüber dem neuen Leitmedium Geld zu schärfen. |
