520 _aJournal of Clinical Sleep Medicine (JCSM) advances the science and practice of sleep and circadian health across the lifespan. We publish scientifically rigorous, clinically meaningful, and practice-changing research that deepens our understanding of sleep disorders, informs evidence-based care, and elevates the role of sleep in human health, performance, and longevity. Our scope encompasses the full breadth of clinical investigation — clinical trials, mechanistic and experimental studies, observational cohorts, implementation and dissemination research, economic evaluations, scoping reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and scholarly commentaries. As the official journal of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), JCSM also serves as the home for AASM clinical practice guidelines, position statements, and consensus documents that shape the standards of sleep medicine worldwide. Areas of Emphasis: We welcome contributions that: Illuminate the mechanisms and phenotypes of sleep and circadian disorders, enabling more precise diagnosis and tailored therapies. Drive innovation in patient-centered care, including digital health tools, pragmatic trials, implementation science, and strategies that improve access, equity, and outcomes. Evaluate treatments for sleep disorders — their efficacy, durability, safety, and impact on symptom burden, comorbid conditions, and patient-reported outcomes. Define the critical role of sleep and circadian rhythms in health and well-being, demonstrating how sleep contributes to quality of life, population health, health care utilization, and long-term survival. Advance any domain of scientific inquiry that leads to improvement in the care of individuals living with sleep disorders.
