520 _aMediterranean Geoscience Reviews is a platform for high-quality original research and review articles across various geoscience, environmental, and atmospheric disciplines. While our primary focus is on the Mediterranean region, our scope extends beyond geographic boundaries, inviting contributions from scholars worldwide whose work has universal significance and international appeal. The journal also publishes special issues on cutting-edge topics arising from meetings or proposed by leading experts in their field. The journal has been published since 2019. After technical checks and English quality screening, all new submissions are automatically screened with CrossCheck within the editorial system to detect suspected plagiarism. Editors can also generate a similarity report at any point during the review process or after publication. All manuscripts undergo a single-blind peer review process during at least two rounds of peer review, coordinated by the Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor responsible for the paper's topic. The average time from submission to final decision is four months. The acceptance rate is approximately 40%. Mediterranean Geoscience Reviews is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record. As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the journal follows COPE guidelines for handling potential misconduct. Authors should avoid misrepresenting research results, as doing so could undermine trust in the journal and the scientific community. Upholding the integrity of research and its presentation can be achieved by adhering to the principles of good scientific practice outlined in Springer Editorial Policies: https://www.springer.com/us/editorial-policies. .
