| 520 | _aBiogeochemical Advances is an interdisciplinary forum for research at the intersection of chemistry, biology, and Earth system science. The journal publishes high-quality studies that explore the chemical and biochemical processes shaping natural environments, as well as the ecological and geochemical consequences of human activities. We welcome contributions that investigate the natural cycling of elements, the chemical interactions between organisms and their environment, and the fate and transformation of both naturally occurring and anthropogenic substances across ecosystems. Our scope spans from molecular-scale mechanisms to global biogeochemical fluxes, emphasizing the integration of environmental chemistry, biogeochemistry, and ecological processes. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: Natural biogeochemical cycles in terrestrial, aquatic, and atmospheric systems. Environmental chemistry of natural systems Chemical ecology and biotic interactions Anthropogenic impacts on biogeochemical processes Fate and transport of contaminants Atmospheric chemistry and biosphere interactions Aquatic and marine chemistry Soil and sediment geochemistry Stable isotope applications Microbial and plant-mediated chemical transformations Modeling and systems approaches The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that bridges chemistry, ecology, microbiology, geology, and environmental science. We aim to foster a holistic understanding of how chemical processes underpin ecosystem dynamics and respond to natural variability and human pressures. | ||
