The European Journal of Health Economics aims to publish high-quality, original research that advances the economic understanding of health care systems worldwide and informs evidence-based health policy. It is organized into the following departments, each focusing on key topics in health economics: ● Economics of Insurance and Care Providers ● Economics of Prevention, Health Behaviors, and Equity ● Innovation, Technology Diffusion, and Organizational Change in Health Care ● Methodology of Economic Evaluation, Including Valuation of Health and Wellbeing ● Health Economics in Low- and Middle-Income Countries A description of the health economics topics covered by each department is provided in their Collection websites. When submitting a manuscript, authors are asked to indicate their preferred department by selecting the corresponding topic. Please consult the department descriptions to identify the most appropriate department and to review the types of papers considered by each. The Editor-in-Chief determines whether a submission is desk-rejected or assigned to a department, and, if assigned, which department is most suitable. This department assignment is a prerequisite for, but does not guarantee, the manuscript’s progression to peer review. Officially cited as: Eur J Health Econ.
