Subject(s): Online resources: Summary: Biosensors and Biomolecular Electronics is dedicated to the dissemination of cutting-edge research and technological advancements in the field of biosensors, including both experimental and theoretical perspectives. The journal aims to bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and clinical or commercial deployment, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world impact. The journal serves as a global platform for scientists and innovators working at the intersection of bioengineering, analytical chemistry, material science, life sciences, and big data, with a strong emphasis on the understanding, improvement, and translation of biosensing technologies into real-world settings, from clinical to environmental, through agri-food, pharmaceutical, and industrial fields. We particularly welcome contributions that advance the development and implementation of biosensors enabling tailored recognition, combining different technologies, and going beyond the state of the art in terms of decentralization. Areas in scope include: Design and Fabrication of Biosensors: Innovations in sensor architecture, nanomaterials, microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip, organ-on-a-chip, and transduction mechanisms. Manufacturing: screen-printing, wax-printing, additive manufacturing, roll-2-roll, inkjet printing. Biorecognition Elements: Development and application of biological and synthetic receptors. Signal Transduction and Processing: Optical, electrochemical, piezoelectric, thermal, and magnetic transduction methods. Wearable and Implantable Biosensors: Devices for continuous health monitoring, diagnostics, and therapeutic feedback. Point-of-Care and Portable Devices: Biosensors for rapid, on-site analysis in clinical, health, and safety applications. Environmental and Industrial Monitoring: Detection of pollutants, toxins, and pathogens in air, water, and industrial processes. Data Integration and AI in Biosensing: Chemometrics, machine learning, data analytics, and IoT integration for smart biosensing systems. Regulatory, Ethical, and Commercialization Aspects: Standards, validation, and pathways to market for biosensor technologies. Biosensors and Biomolecular Electronics has a limited number of full APC waivers available for this year, which will be allocated on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to apply for a waiver, please contact Publisher Sara Ceci (sara.ceci@springernature.com) with details of your submission.
