The journal welcomes submissions on women's public health issues, health behaviours, breast cancer, gynecological diseases, mental health and health promotion. BMC Women’s Health welcomes submissions in the following broad areas of research: Female physical health including studies on a range of physical wellness topics to guarantee healthy body parts, appropriate sensing, vision, and equilibrium, as well as the proper functioning of organs and various body systems, such as digestive and nervous systems. Bone Health including studies on osteoporosis and poor bone density in younger and older women, as well as bone fragility under various physiological settings, such as at pregnancy, inactivity, low body weight, or as a result of underlying medical illnesses or medications. Female Mental health encouraging studies on mental well-being that employ pharmacogenetic or epidemiological approaches, among others, to identify the causes of stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide, enhance well-being, and prevent the onset or exacerbation of mental health disorders. Cancer in women including cancers of the pancreas, colon, lung, and breast, as well as gynecologic cancers (cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar). Research on various aspects of these diseases is welcome. Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health including studies on contraception, fertility and infertility care, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) prevention and treatment, and protection against sexual and gender-based violence. Precision medicine in women including studies on multiple-omics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) in the diagnosis, modeling, and targeted therapeutics of women's medical conditions. Autoimmune diseases including studies on fundamental causes of immune system impairments that inadvertently harm rather than defend your body, therapeutic approaches to manage autoimmune disease symptoms, and specific treatments. As a BMC Series journal, BMC Women’s Health does not make editorial decisions based on the perceived interest or potential impact of a study. Manuscripts are considered for publication if they are scientifically valid. For research articles, this includes having a clearly defined and sound research question, appropriate methodology and analysis, and adherence to community-agreed standards relevant to the field.
