| Summary, etc. | Der Band versucht eine Bestandsaufnahme der jüngsten Entwicklungen bei der Darstellung des »Holocaust« in unterschiedlichen Formen, Formaten und Medien. Im Fokus steht der schwer bestimmbare Begriff des »Authentischen«, der sich als Mythos erweist. Den disziplinären Ausgangspunkt liefert die Nähe von Geschichts- und Literaturwissenschaften, welche mit der Faktizität der Ereignisse jeweils unterschiedlich umgehen. Bestimmte Gattungen werden hinsichtlich ihrer Darstellungskompetenz befragt und einzelne Kunstwerke als aktuelle Repräsentationen des »Holocaust« diskutiert. Gleichzeitig werden grundlegende Überlegungen zu den Rahmenbedingungen der aktuellen Erinnerungskultur vorgestellt: Einerseits entgleiten uns die Ereignisse aufgrund des zunehmenden historischen Abstands, andererseits werden sie uns gerade durch Kunstwerke wieder nahegebracht. Wie lässt sich dieses Spannungsverhältnis genauer beschreiben? |
