Summary, etc. The International Journal on Networked and Distributed Computing (IJNDC) is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of research by publishing high-quality, original articles that cover both theoretical and practical aspects of networked and distributed systems. As a cornerstone of modern technology, networked and distributed computing is pivotal in enhancing computational methodologies and driving innovations across various applicative domains. The journal aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate their findings, discuss critical challenges, and explore state-of-the-art solutions. By fostering an environment of rigorous peer review and interdisciplinary collaboration, IJNDC seeks to contribute to the development of robust, secure, scalable, coordinated, autonomous, and efficient networked and distributed systems that can meet the demands of contemporary and future technological landscapes. The goal of the journal is to explore the implications of these technologies, spanning distributed and decentralized approaches to computing, pervasive and ubiquitous systems, and novel technologies for making applications and systems more scalable, reliable, and available. Additionally, IJNDC addresses the integration of smart and intelligent systems within networked and distributed environments. These systems, incorporating advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence, are becoming increasingly relevant in enhancing the functionality and efficiency of networked solutions. Topics of Interest IJNDC publishes rigorously peer-reviewed original research articles, comprehensive surveys, and insightful reports of practical experiences. To foster cutting-edge discourse, the journal periodically invites proposals for special issues focusing on emerging and impactful topics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Applications of Networked and Distributed Computing: Innovative applications in enterprise infrastructures, healthcare, education, space/sea exploration, smart cities, land protection and monitoring, energy management, entertainment, mobile computing, and cyber-physical systems demonstrating the transformative potential of these systems. Networked and Distributed Systems Architectures: Design, analysis, implementation, fault resilience, and performance measurements of distributed and networked systems; devices for networked and distributed systems, such as energy-efficient processors, heterogeneous many-core systems, special purpose hardware including network processors, FPGAs, media accelerators, and other special purpose processors and accelerators. Network and interconnection architectures; distributed and networked storage systems; performance modeling and evaluation of networked and distributed systems. Novel Networked Computing Paradigms: Investigating new paradigms that optimize resource allocation, management, and scalability to go beyond the constraints of traditional infrastructure management. Data Exchange Paradigms, Protocols, and Tools: Developments and improvements in methodologies and technologies that facilitate efficient and reliable communication across diverse networked entities. Decentralized and Distributed Algorithms Targeting Networked Entities: Models of computation, data-intensive algorithms, scalability of algorithms and data structures for networked and distributed systems, synchronization approaches and protocols, network algorithms, scheduling, and load balancing. Decentralized, Networked, and Distributed Intelligence: Advancing autonomous intelligent systems that operate seamlessly across distributed networks. System Software, Libraries, and Frameworks for Networked and Distributed Systems: Programming languages and compilers, runtime systems, operating systems, service architecture, resource management, middleware for large computing environments and data centers, libraries, programming environments, and tools. Innovative Solutions, Technologies and Architectures that Enable Networked and Distributed Computing, such as Quantum Internet and quantum communication networks, Serverless Computing and Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) computing models, Cloud Continuum and its convergence with HPC, including hybrid computing models. Urgent Edge Computing and real-time processing needs, addressing low-latency data processing, decentralized decision-making, and applications in areas requiring immediate computational responses.
