Das barocke Licht ist Paradigma zugleich von Kunst und Naturphilosophie. In der Naturphilosophie etablieren sich optische Modelle des Denkens, die Praxis des Linsenschleifens entfaltet sich, Lichtinszenierungen unterhalten das Publikum. Der Band versammelt auf Anregung der Berliner ‚Forschungsgruppe Historische Lichtgefüge’ die maßgeblichen Wissenschaftler aus Kunst-, Wissenschaftsgeschichte und Philosophie, um die Charakteristika dieses Lichtes vergleichend zu diskutieren, in dem sowohl das moderne, naturwissenschaftliche Konzept des Lichtes seinen Ausgangspunkt hat, wie die Prämissen unserer visuellen Kultur. |
