| Summary, etc. | In den sechziger Jahren wird der Film für viele bildende Künstler zur Ausdrucksform der Gegenwart. In welchem Verhältnis stehen die Filmexperimente zum künstlerischen Gesamtwerk, welchen Bedingungen unterliegt die Arbeit zwischen den Institutionen Kunst und Kino? In einer exemplarischen Auswahl werden Filme von europäischen und amerikanischen bildenden Künstlern vorgestellt, die im weiteren Umfeld der Pop Art verortet werden können. Untersucht werden neben den Filmen und den Umständen ihrer Produktion und Aufführung auch die Wechselbeziehungen zwischen filmischen und künstlerischen Praktiken. Diese gegenstandsbezogene historische Darstellung ist eingebettet in grundlegendere theoretische Fragestellungen hinsichtlich der intermedialen Verfasstheit der popkulturellen Wende in der Kunst und ihrer bildwissenschaftlichen Konsequenzen. |
