| Summary, etc. | Eine bittere Arznei: Arzneimittel sind teuer. Arzneimittel werden nicht für die Krankheiten der armen Länder produziert. Arzneimittel werden nicht so innovativ produziert, wie es möglich und nötig wäre. Die Kritik an der pharmazeutischen Industrie ist groß und verbreitet. Andererseits sind Innovationen wie neue Wirkstoffe selten und schwer zu finden. Arme Länder verfügen nicht über die Kaufkraft, die für die Entwicklung notwendig ist. Wirksame neue Arzneimittel sind teuer in ihrer Erforschung und Entwicklung. Die Wirtschaftsethik, Ethik und Ökonomik der pharmazeutischen Industrie sind eine Herausforderung sowohl an die Produzenten der Arzneimittel wie auch an deren Benutzer, die Patienten und die Gesundheitssysteme. Die ethischen und ökonomischen Fragen der Produktion und des Konsums von Arzneimitteln werden in diesem Buch in der Zusammenarbeit von Wirtschaftsethikern und Ökonomen umfassend dargestellt. |
