| Summary, etc. | Münchner Forschern ist es gelungen, Schweineherzen in Pavianen schlagen zu lassen. Sollen tierische Organe auch auf den Menschen übertragen werden? Die Münchner Bürgerkonferenz 2019 hat sich mit dieser Biotechnologie auseinandergesetzt. Die Xenotransplantation geht uns alle an. Zum einen könnten wir alle als Patient*innen von der Xenotransplantation profitieren, zum anderen könnten wir zu Risikoträgern werden, wenn wir Infektionskrankheiten auf Mitmenschen übertragen. Und dürfen wir überhaupt Tiere als Ersatzteillager für menschliche Organe nutzen? Die Bürgerkonferenz zur Xenotransplantation brachte zu diesen gesellschaftlich hoch brisanten Fragen Wissenschaftler mit medizinischen Laien zusammen. Das Bürgervotum beinhaltet die Meinung von Münchner Bürger*innen, die sich mit dem Thema intensiv auseinandergesetzt haben. Es soll als Anstoß für die öffentliche Diskussion und für Entscheidungsträger in Politik, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft dienen. |
