| Summary, etc. | Normalisierung gilt als eine der wesentlichen Regulierungskräfte moderner Gesellschaften. Wie aber wird das Normale sichtbar? Wie gelingt es dem Normalen, Aufmerksamkeit zu binden und Faszination auszuüben? Gemeinhin werden Normalität, Normalismus und Normalisierung mit Blick auf statistische Verfahren und die Bildung von Durchschnitten diskutiert. Die Präsentation des Normalen in Kurven, Diagrammen und Statistiken ist aber nur eine Darstellungsform unter anderen, der viele weitere Verfahren der Sichtbarmachung des Normalen gegenüberstehen, wie z.B. die Inszenierung des Normalen durch sein epistemologisches Gegenteil (des Anormalen, des Pathologischen, der Ausnahme) oder das ›Vor-Augen-Stellen‹ des Normalen durch den Einzelfall. |
