Die von ihr provozierten kollektiven Hoffnungen, Phantasien und Ängste schlagen sich in Literatur und Film nieder. Irmela Marei Krüger-Fürhoff untersucht Sujet und Verfahren der Transplantation in Fiktion und Wissenschaft und betritt damit literatur- und kulturwissenschaftliches Neuland. In Verpflanzungsgebiete wird die kulturelle Repräsentation der Transplantationsmedizin vom 19. Jahrhundert bis zur Gegenwart rekonstruiert. Gefragt wird nach den narrativen und den ästhetischen Inszenierungsformen von Verpflanzungen sowohl als chirurgisch-immunologisches, aber auch als wissenschaftshistorisches und rhetorisches Verfahren. Dabei werden die Spezifika einer Poetik der Transplantation sichtbar gemacht. |
