Zudem verweisen die aktuellen Zusammenhänge darauf, dass die Vorstellung von einem unab-hängigen, unpolitischen Wissen-schaftler immer noch sehr ver-breitet ist. Aber: Wissenschaften werden eingesetzt – Wissen-schaften setzen ein. Einerseits werden wissenschaftliche Model-le gesellschaftlich instrumentali-siert, andererseits normalisieren sie selbst ihren spezifischen Zugriff. Die Beiträge des Bandes fragen aus der Sicht von Medizin, Poli-tikwissenschaften, Philosophie, Pädagogik, Rechtswissenschaft, Geschichtswissenschaft und Germanistik mit Blick auf den Nationalsozialismus nach den spezifischen Rollen und Funktio-nen von Wissenschaften und Wissenschaftlern. Dabei geht es nicht nur um eine historische Vergewisserung, schon gar nicht um Verdächtigungen oder An-klagen, sondern um die fortdau-ernde gesellschaftliche Verant-wortung von Wissenschaft und Forschung. |
