| Summary, etc. | 'Werte' richten sich auf zweierlei: auf das, was als wertvoll gilt und was uns zugleich gemeinsam sein soll. Werte sollen das unbezweifelbare kulturelle Fundament der Gesellschaft stiften. Sie müssen allerdings (gegen andere) beschworen werden. Demnach sind sie auch selbst Gegenstand von Auseinandersetzungen – also gar nicht so selbstverständlich. Ihre Interpretation und Gültigkeit ist ebenso strittig wie ihre Verbindlichkeit – siehe Menschenrechte. Wie kommt es überhaupt dazu, dass Einzelne sich an Werte binden? Wie entsteht eine Bindung an etwas für wertvoll Gehaltenes – eine Bindung, die ja zugleich eine Unterordnung unter das für wertvoll Gehaltene bedeutet?. |
