Wie Comenius die pädagogische Mentalität der Moderne erfand … Die philosophischen Grundlagen seiner „Großen Didaktik“, mit welcher Johann Amos Comenius (1592-1670) wegweisend für die gesamte moderne Pädagogik wurde, entwickelte er in seiner siebenbändigen „Consultatio Catholica“, der „Allgemeinen Beratung über die Verbesserung der menschlichen Angelegenheiten“. Doch obwohl dieses Spätwerk nach seiner Erstveröffentlichung 1966 als geniales Meisterstück des Comenius international gefeiert wurde, hat es bislang keine systematisch umfassende Interpretation erfahren. Die vorliegende Studie rekonstruiert darum erstmalig die logische Gesamtkonstruktion dieses Werkes. Dabei orientiert sie sich an einer mentalitätsgeschichtlichen Methodik, die eng am empirischen Textbefund arbeitet – und sich damit deutlich von gängigen ideengeschichtlichen Auslegungen absetzt. So aber wird detailliert der Weg nachgezeichnet, auf dem die ursprünglich geforderte Selbstlosigkeit des Menschen zuletzt in eine ambivalente Ermächtigungslehre umschlug, die die Erziehungsmentalität bis heute nachhaltig prägt … |
