| Summary, etc. | Wen meinen wir, wenn wir von Familie sprechen? Mit welchen Vorstellungen und Bildern assoziieren wir sie? In der Familienfotografie wird mit einer Ikonographie von Nähe gearbeitet, die uns vertraut ist. Aber stimmt das wirklich? Die kulturelle Konstruktion dieses Blicks bleibt oft unbemerkt, weil es Bilder sind, deren Inszenierung wir nicht hinterfragen. Es sind die im Bild vermittelten Affekte, Gesten und Blicke, die Aufschluss darüber geben, wie die im Bild Dargestellten zueinander stehen. Das Ungewöhnliche an diesen Fotoarbeiten ist der absichtsvolle Wechsel zwischen Blickführungen aus großer Nähe, die den Körper als Oberfläche zeigen und solchen, die seine Beziehung zu anderen, zum Ort oder Ereignis, in Szene setzen. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Arbeiten von Ruth Erdt (The Gang), Elinor Carucci (Closer) und Nan Goldin (The Devil’s Playground). |
